Level: Grades 6 to 8
In this free Library NExT workshop, fidget spinners aren’t a distraction; they’re a tangible lesson in the laws of physics! Middle school students will explore concepts of energy conservation, the transfer of heat through motion, and the laws of gravity and tension to gain an understanding of why some fidget spinners spin longer and why some are louder than others. Students are welcome to bring their own fidget spinners. Spinners will also be provided for in-class use only.
